RAGDALE RING
More is modern. The original Ragdale Ring was beautiful, but it was designed with a singular purpose. Originally built for the performance of plays, people would sit in the sunken ring and direct their attention to the stage. Today, the Ring has the great opportunity to accommodate any kind of creative performance, and so it must be flexible and adaptable while still maintaining the standard of beauty and place.
With curtains that extend above eye level, the rings block out the synthetic surroundings, creating a theater of natural materials, much like the original. The curtains harness the breeze for a beautiful backdrop. The fluid motion holds your attention even when there isn’t a scheduled show.
By using multiple rings of varying scales, the rings can accommodate different functions and different size audiences.
